Trip to Atlanta!

Are you ready for the Photo Onslaught? We went to Atlanta for three days this past weekend to visit our friends Andre and Roxanne, and their sweet little girl Sofia. Although I don't think anyone slept much, it was an awesome trip and SO good to see them! We have really missed them since they moved east this summer to begin Andre's fellowship in Infectious Disease.

We took a direct flight on Thursday morning, and the kids did remarkably well on the airplane, despite the fact that the DVD player died 10 minutes into the movie! (Also, Chris did remarkably well hauling 2 carseats through the airport!) We rented a cheap car and only got a little lost on the way to their adorable house. While there, we toured their little town of Decatur, ate amazing tapas at The Iberian Pig, cheered for the Cardinals in the World Series, took 1000 pictures at a pumpkin patch, ate Roxanne's delicous dinners, and generally had a wonderful time together!

At the pumpkin patch, Elijah got his first-ever horseback ride. He was so calm, serious, and unafraid - it was amazing and adorable! Chris and I were so proud of him.

So here we go... from our first tour around Decatur through our car drive home from the airport after three fun, packed days of vacation!

WOW! Looks like you had a great trip. My favorites are the photos of Elijah on the horse. :)
